Monitoring and evaluating are integral aspects of all We Love Reading programs. We monitor and evaluate to measure the impact of our programs and to learn to make changes in our strategy and model. We Love Reading initiative/ Taghyeer Organization attends workshop on evaluating social programs at MIT
Representatives from We Love Reading initiative/ Taghyeer Organization attended – through a US embassy in Amman grant - a five day workshop on evaluating social programs in Cambridge, Massachusetts during June 15th till the 19th. The workshop took place at the Abdul Lateef Jameel Poverty Action Lab locatedat the Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT),where it discussed the definition and importance of evaluating social programs using the Randomized Controlled Trials (RCT) method. WLR has been chosen by the Columbia Pangea Advisors (the pro bono advisory group of the International Development Club (IDC) at Columbia Business School (CBS)). They will be helping We Love Reading with its three year strategic plan. The team members bring an array of skills to the project including consulting, strategy, finance, and operations.
