We Love Reading organized a Children Book Development workshop under the USAID funded Early Grade Reading and Mathematics Project (USAID RAMP) at Kempinski/ Amman through 12-13/9/2015
The workshop was attended by a number of writers and illustrators who will work with the Children Book Development project in addition to respective guests from the Ministry of Education and USAID.The event aimed at inspiring writers and illustrators to write high quality children stories on the topics of refugees, gender as well as physical and mental disabilities.
During the workshop; several topics were discussed andexperts exchanged expertise in areas of early childhood, refugees, gender in addition to participation from prominent Jordanian children story writers who shared their experiences and writing skills.
The workshop aimed to inspire and equip the writers and illustrators with information and know-how skills to develop children's stories within the age group 4-10 years. This USAID funded Children Book Development Project operates under a 5-year project that aims to open 1000 community We Love Reading libraries around schools that will implement the USAID RAMP Project.
