We Love Reading wins Aramex It Forward November’s round 2016

Aramex It Forward is an initiative that sponsors free shipping items for good causes. We Love Reading was chosen as socially responsible for equal education for all children. We Love Reading aims to establish a library in every neighborhood in every single county to bring up a generation that loves to read. We love Reading libraries can be found in more than 30 countries around the world such as Turkey, Algeria and Ethiopia. Aramex award was a free shipping for 3500 books to Ethiopia to help our volunteers to establish their library in Ethiopia.

We Love Reading Launches a New Project to Empower Women and Girl Refugees

Photography in particular has historically been used by Western media to subject the Syrian female refugees to an imperialist lens that retracts their agency and forces their stories into a prepackaged victim narrative. WLR institute implemented “A Story of a Picture” project for 11 girls aged between 12-17 y/o inside Zaatari camp.

Rob Gradoville who works for Amplify program talked about We Love Reading program at Mayo Clinic Transform Conference last week, and it was really well received. . He started talking about We Love Reading by stating the main question that was their third Amplify Challenge: “How might we improve refugee education?. One partner that answered the challenge in a really compelling way is Taghyeer, a Jordanian organization that works to instill a love of reading in children.”

Taghyeer organisation has announced the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners for "The most lively photo" for a child in a reading circle contest which was held in between (the 6th of June untill the 19th of July) where morethan 33 photos from professional photographers and amateurs were submitted.
