A lecture was held today in collaboration between We Love Reading and the University of Jordan, Student Activities Department, presented by prof. Rana Dajani.
During the lecture, Dajani discussed the topic of social entrepreneurship and its importance in finding solutions to societal challenges, highlighting We Love Reading as a pioneering model that provides innovative community solutions through reading aloud to children.
She also presented the research and studies conducted by the program, which examined its impact on ambassadors and children, showcasing examples of these studies implemented in collaboration with academic institutions and universities around the world.
Part of the lecture also featured the documentary “The Neighborhood Storytellers” and Dajani’s book “Five Scarves”, in addition to the children books developed by the program. Prof. Dajani encouraged students to join the program’s initiatives and become changemakers in their communities.
The lecture witnessed remarkable engagement from students, who expressed their interest in the importance of reading aloud and its role in enhancing family dialogue and building bridges across generations. The discussion also touched on human potential and responsibility toward society and humanity, emphasizing that reading is a gateway to understanding, inspiration, and positive change.
