From the Screen to the Audience, We Were Closer with Our Stories and Ideas…
As part of the “Million Names” initiative, and in collaboration with the Hopes for Training, Education, and Development, an exclusive screening of the globally award-winning documentary “The Neighborhood Storyteller” was organized in the Hopes Library Hall in Jerash. The screening was attended by a group of local women in an inspiring and enthusiastic atmosphere.
The screening aimed to shed light on real-life stories that encourage communities to engage in social work and foster change, igniting the latent power in every individual capable of making a difference. The documentary’s protagonist and We Love Reading ambassador, Asmaa Al-Rashid, joined the audience to discuss the film and exchange insights and ideas about the journey of change.

This collaboration with the Hopes library continues, which the Hopes aiming to provide fair opportunities for everyone in education and training. Many local women and men from Jerash have joined We Love Reading’s training program to read aloud to children and establish libraries, surrounding children with books and reading sessions. Over 45 ambassadors have now received WLR training.
The library currently hosts regular read-aloud sessions by these ambassadors, as we work towards creating a community of readers capable of giving back and driving progress
