As part of We Love Reading’s global outreach and educational advocacy, Prof. Rana Dajani visited North London Collegiate School in Singapore, to deliver an inspiring talk to students on the intersection of scientific research and social innovation.
During her visit, Prof. Dajani offered a perspective on how academic research can be harnessed to address social challenges and uplift communities. She introduced students to her work in the field of genetics, as well as the research and studies conducted by We Love Reading, which has impacted over 72 countries.
The lecture emphasized the power of youth, storytelling, and science in shaping a better world, encouraging students to think critically, act compassionately, and lead with purpose. It also highlighted the importance of empowering women and youth, particularly through access to education and local knowledge.
The lecture was warmly received by students and faculty, who engaged with Prof. Dajani in a Q&A session.
Prof. Dajani emphasized the importance of inspiring the next generation of leaders, scientists, and storytellers, proving that research and empathy together can create lasting change.
