#1Society: The online festival to converge hearts and minds for a new future
In times of mandated social distancing we are bringing society together as 1. This 2-day virtual festival will bring the brightest minds and most progressive voices from industry, technology, culture, and the wider community together to celebrate unity and generate collective intelligence on some of the most pressing issues of our times.

Dr Dajani was a panelist on the panel discussing How could we make education globally accessible by removing cost and technology barriers?
Points discussed included the importance of human human interaction and designing education systems that are student centered. Most importantly focusing on how to motivate children to learn so they can become lifelong learners.
The importance of the humanities and fostering critical thinking skills was discussed to equip our children with the ethical values and thinking skills to cope with an unpredictable future.
The urgency to build confidence in local cultures and identity to boost confidence and empowerment was addressed.
Adopting the family of the unit of action and measurement which is more effective.
Sighting We Love Reading as a grassroots community Programm that addresses many of these issues in a low cost effective way that is applicable during covid19. Dr Dajani also pointed out how reading also increases empathy and builds resilience.
