We Love Reading has participated in the interactive book fair organized by the Jordanian Ministry of Culture under the patronage of Minister Haifa Al-Najjar. The book fair was launched last week and its activities will be held every Thursday until the 25th of August.
We Love Reading participation came through its distinguished ambassadors in all Jordanian governorates, who held reading-aloud sessions for children within the book fair activities, each in their governorate.
This participation aims to raise awareness of the national reading campaign, which was launched by We Love Reading in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture last May.
This is in an effort to cooperate with the government sector to change mindsets through reading to create change makers.
The interactive book fair comes within the vision of the Ministry of Culture to launch a national strategy to encourage reading in partnership with We Love Reading, the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, various governmental and private sectors and civil society institutions, and within the national reading program organized by the ministry to provide an appropriate environment to encourage reading and promote the Jordanian culture to the public in a way that goes with the digital transformations to create a participatory situation between writer and reader.
