We Love Reading is excited to be an active participant in the Microsoft Global Hackathon known as “Hack for Positive Impact 2023.” This global event brings together talented volunteers from around the world who are eager to collaborate with entrepreneurs and drive meaningful change.
This year’s Hack for Positive Impact Executive Challenge harnesses the latest advancements in AI technology to empower entrepreneurs in amplifying their positive influence. The hackathon spans one week, starting on September 11th. Throughout this week, Microsoft volunteers will collaborate closely with the We Love Reading team to devise innovative solutions for enhancing the We Love Reading virtual community.
Prior to the official start of the hackathon, Prof. Rana Dajani and the Microsoft volunteers team convened to prepare and familiarize themselves with the project’s intricacies. Subsequently, a meeting involving all participating teams took place on the first day, providing a platform for teams to share their work and receive valuable guidelines for the hackathon.
The hackathon environment is designed to promote learning through hands-on experimentation, fostering a culture of innovative thinking both in technical and business aspects. This year’s approach to the Hack for Positive Impact Executive Challenge enables Microsoft Leaders to continue their collaboration with entrepreneurial partners while also forging new connections within the organization.
It is worth noting that in 2022, We Love Reading was honored with the Schwab Award for Social Innovation, an accolade that marked the beginning of a collaborative effort between the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship and Microsoft, aimed at unleashing the transformative potential of social changemakers worldwide through digital transformation.”
