Reading Ambassador Jamila Abu Melhem Brings the Joy of Reading to Children at Jerash Festival

As part of the activities of Jerash Festival, Reading Ambassador Jamila Abu Melhem participated by holding daily reading sessions for children during the festival, creating an interactive and engaging space that encouraged children to enjoy reading, express themselves, and explore stories through imagination.

This participation was supported by coordination and facilitation efforts that helped make such cultural and educational activities possible within the festival, strengthening the presence of reading as part of community events dedicated to children and families.

Reading Ambassador Jamila Abu Melhem is an active community member in Jerash Governorate and a member of Women’s Empowerment in Jerash. She regularly conducts reading sessions for children across the governorate, with the support of Jerash Municipality, the Directorate of Culture, and the Directorate of Education.

Through her continued efforts, Jamila Abu Melhem reflects the important role of We Love Reading Ambassadors in spreading a love of reading and bringing the impact of stories closer to children in cultural and community spaces.
