Reading Ambassador Zuhour Al-Dagheimat Meets HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein in AL-Karak, Highlighting the Role of Reading in Building Future Leaders
In a distinguished national moment, Reading Ambassador and founder of the initiative “We Read to Rise… Today’s Reader is Tomorrow’s Leader,” Ms. Zuhour Al-Dagheimat, expressed her pride and honor in participating in the dialogue session held by His Royal Highness Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, with a group of young men and women from Karak Governorate.
Al-Dagheimat affirmed that this meeting represented a significant milestone in her volunteer journey, as it came as a culmination of years of work in spreading a culture of reading, promoting community awareness, and strengthening her firm belief that books are the first key to building individuals and shaping the future.
She explained that the initiative “We Read to Rise… Today’s Reader is Tomorrow’s Leader” was launched from a deep belief that reading is not merely a hobby, but a way of life that opens wide horizons for knowledge, learning, and leadership. She added: “Since I became attached to reading and launched my initiative, many doors have opened for me. One of the greatest honors was meeting His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, who believes in the role of youth and is keen to empower them and listen to their ideas.”
Al-Dagheimat also noted that His Royal Highness the Crown Prince’s interest in youth and community initiatives gives young people greater motivation to continue serving the nation, and confirms that Jordan places its trust in the energy and creativity of its youth across various fields.
She concluded by emphasizing that this meeting will serve as an incentive for her to continue her mission of spreading a culture of reading among children and youth, and to expand the initiative’s reach to benefit the largest possible number of community members. This comes from her belief that “today’s reader is tomorrow’s leader,” and that true investment begins with building minds and developing thought.
