“We Love Reading organized a comprehensive two-day training session on May 14th and 15th at the Qubaiba Charity Association in the Al-Zohor area of Amman. The training encompassed a diverse range of topics, including effective techniques for reading aloud to children, the paramount significance of reading, criteria for selecting appropriate books, and hands-on applications.
Furthermore, we introduced the We Love Reading digital community platform, designed to enable ambassadors to register and foster interaction among themselves. Through this platform, ambassadors can exchange insights about their reading sessions, explore volunteering opportunities, and partake in a variety of engaging activities. The attendees, included mothers, educators, and students spanning different age groups, expressed their profound appreciation for the training. Ambassador Suha Aesha conveyed her elation on the second day of the training, recounting her inaugural reading session from the previous day. She shared that the children were genuinely enthralled while listening to the stories.
Another dedicated ambassador, Tuhfa Alabed, who is also an experienced educator, emphasized the substantial impact that reading aloud can have on a child’s personal development. She articulated her commitment to conducting regular reading aloud sessions for children, recognizing its potential to enhance their academic performance.”
