Aseel Al-Zaghoul is masters student in the UK and she knew about WeLoveReading , and as she very interested in the program she wanted to do a research about it.
Following what she said about herself and the program
“I am Aseel Alzaghoul, a junior medical doctor from Jordan and a current Chevening Scholar and a postgraduate student at King’s College London, MSc War and Psychiatry. I was selected out of more than 160 proposals to present at Chevening Conference 2019 at The University of Manchester. Part of my presentation was about the great program We Love Reading as I wanted to use it as intervention in my research to decrease children distress after being exposed to traumatic experiences. We Love Reading has a great potential to be a sustainable solution from the community to the community to have an alternative low-cost therapy for mental disorders such as PTSD in low resources countries where there is shortage in mental health services. This was my hypothesis after reading previous literature that I need to confirm by my new study.”
