Prof. Rana Dajani the Founder of We Love Reading participated in the Al Sharq Youth 6th International Conference, in the presence of a thousand young people, including academics and influencers.
During the conference, Prof. Dajani participated in multiple segments in order to share her wide experience as an award-winner social entrepreneur.
She was part of the “Know How (Do you want to change the world? Social Entrepreneurship and the Butterfly effect Master Class)” parallel session.
And in the second day, she presented a spotlight session “Driving Change through Social Entrepreneurship” where she spoke about her journey in creating a sustainable social innovative model “We Love Reading”.
The conference is organized by Al Sharq Youth a network of committed and active youth, leading change towards a more inclusive and just world.
Its focus is on discussing the unprecedented global risks we face like widespread youth disillusionment, disengagement from public affairs, and inclination towards populist narratives, due to the lack of trust in the existing economic, political, and social structures on a global scale.
This year the main goals of the Al Sharq Youth 6th International Conference are:
Explore socio-economic alternatives for the coming era and encourage youth to use these tools of the future
Reshaping the world through ideals of justice and equilibrium, to create a connection between the people and the nation through authentic interests
Find out the causes and solutions to youth disengagement, and create a safe space for youth to engage in creating the solution
Analyze the trends of the changing world to decipher the complexities of interconnected challenges, and identify points of collaboration, and synergies, where thinking and building viable alternatives is within reach to envision and pursue an alternative future
Embrace ideas for change that transcend the current times, to pursue the future, while exploring the dynamics and ideas that shape it.
