Mosaic initiative signed an agreement to implement the We Love Reading program and train reading ambassadors in the Syrian city of Idlib. The mosaic initiative is one of the initiatives of the common space. It started on 15/11/2020 by the efforts of Syrian youth with the aim of building peace and resolving conflicts in the Syrian community residing in the city of Idlib by promoting the values of citizenship and belonging and that is by serving the local community by working with proactive and active university students and supporting it financially and morally to grow and positively affect its surroundings.
The initiative aims to contribute to the building of peace within the local community in the Syrian city of Idlib, contribute to the service and development of the community in the areas (Child Development, Youth Development) and promote the values of citizenship and a sense of belonging among the beneficiaries of the university students.
The initiative also seeks to build relations between university students inside and outside Syria through dialogue sessions and cultural chats and contribute to opening new horizons and expanding the understanding of university students in Idlib city by introducing them to the grants available to them as Syrians.
Mentioning the We Love Reading program, Ms. Raghad Johar, the founder of the initiative, said:
“In order to achieve our goals, we always seek to network with actors, initiative and pioneer. We are always proud to work with programs like” We Love Reading“, especially because it is an initiative that started individually and then grew and spread in 62 countries around the world. We seek to become like you, you are our supreme example. The program” We Love Reading “is very important for Syrian society. Furthermore, we aim to build peace and enhance the values of citizenship, identity, belonging, and freedoms, and by working with you, we seek to achieve this by reading stories dedicated to Syrian children and taking into account their conditions and circumstances, especially since I am the owner of a special project on story-making called “Our Story”.”
